Examining the strange correlation between both men, through Astrology
Did you read my recent article about Charles Manson’s Natal Chart? In addition to the planets, there are other celestial bodies that show up in a person’s Natal Chart. One of the more obscure ones is the mysterious Black Moon Lilith.
⚸BLACK MOON LILITH IN ♌LEO
Leo: Fixed Fire Sign
Symbology: The Lion
Ruling Planet: The Sun
There are many myths and stories about Lilith, from the demonic seductress that feeds off men’s sexual arousal, to the first vampire to wander the earth in search of the life force of human blood, Lilith represents lust, desire and all things taboo.
The most common myth is that Lilith (Lilitu) was the first wife of Adam, first man on Earth. They were both formed from the dust of the Earth and created as equals. But Adam did not value a partner who was physically and intellectually his equal, so he rejected her and convinced God to cast her out of the Garden. She then fell in love with Lucifer (a newly fallen angel). Lilith became pregnant by him several times but miscarried all of her babies.
When Adam was then presented by God with a new wife, Eve, who was formed from his rib and therefore subservient to him, an anguished Lilith was envious of their good fortune and coveted the children they successfully brought into this world. In jealousy and spite, she became the infamous ‘serpent’ that coaxed Eve into eating the fruit of the Knowledge of Good and Evil (usually portrayed as an apple, most likely a pomegranate) and then later, Lilith enticed their son Cain to kill his brother Abel and join her in her dark world.
These myths aside, Lilith’s message is ultimately one of discovering our inner strength, our divine feminine power (yes, even men have feminine — as well as masculine — powers) and confronting our shadow selves, so that we may transform and overcome our own darkness. It requires us to face our fears of reproduction, of feminine power, and to explore the spiritual in our sexuality. Most profoundly, Lilith calls us to recognize our thresholds — the danger that we may cross the line into a darkness we cannot transcend.
Black Moon Lilith marks the furthest point of the moon’s orbit around the earth. Essentially, the moon’s elliptical orbit has two center points — earth, and Black Moon Lilith. It is not a planet, but rather a point in space without a physical body, transverse from the Earth. Black Moon Lilith stays approximately nine months in each sign, making a revolution every eight years and nine months. Since Charlie was born in November 1934, Black Moon Lilith was next in Leo starting in May 1943. Most recently it was in Leo during 2014. It will next be in Leo starting on August 30, 2022.
Black Moon Lilith represents our most primitive urges and impulses, our repressed sexuality and the darkest parts of our psyche. She may also reveal hidden fantasies and fetishes.
With his Black Moon Lilith in Leo, we can ascertain that Charlie was creative, playful but forced to grow up too soon. He needed to embrace his inner child and encourage them to play and have fun, without losing himself in the process. Manson himself could have become a strong teacher of children, helping them value the more playful parts of themselves.
But his shadow side connected to deep feelings of being a nobody, desiring of fame and achievement not earned, becoming disrespectful of those he served, and demanding submission from others. Black Moon Lilith in Leo’s have a propensity toward rage and violence, particularly toward women. Without healing the shadow self, these folks can become selfish, abuse their power and waste their talents by becoming addicted to flattery bordering on delusions of grandeur.
The male members of this group often have multiple children with different mothers. Manson’s first son (Charles Manson Junior, born March 1956 with wife Rosalie), his second son (Charles Luther Manson, born 1960 by prostitute Leona Rae Stevens), and his third son (Valentine Michael born of first Manson Family follower Mary Brunner).
During the recent 2014 return of Black Moon Lilith in Leo, there were several notable events and incidents. The disappearance of Malaysian Air Flight MH370 (just four days after BML shifted into Leo), the abduction of several hundred Nigerian girls by the terrorist organization Boko Haram a month later, the mass protests in Ferguson, Missouri following the shooting death of Michael Brown and the suicide of comic actor Robin Williams (both in August). But I want to draw attention to one particular event during this time: the Crimean Crisis.
From Wikipedia: “The Crimean Peninsula, north of the Black Sea in Eastern Europe, was annexed by the Russian Federation between February and March 2014 and since then has been administered as two Russian federal subjects — the Republic of Crimea and the federal city of Sevastopol. The annexation from Ukraine followed a Russian military intervention in Crimea that took place in the aftermath of the 2014 Ukrainian revolution and was part of wider unrest across southern and eastern Ukraine.”
As you see, the Crisis did not begin during BML Leo, yet the events sustained throughout the entire lunar phase. The crisis began in late February when Russian President Vladimir Putin (Manson’s ⚸BML ♌Leo counterpart) demanded the arrest and extradition of Ukraine’s deposed President, and the return of Crimea to Russia.
Due to the unrest following Russia’s incursion into Crimea, the United States levied economic sanctions against Russia. Putin then retaliated by raising the price of gas by 80%. Meanwhile, Russian troops were raised to a state of ‘advanced readiness’ according to NATO, with tanks positioned near Ukraine’s eastern border.
This tense edge of war, the demand of returned lands, a forced ouster of another elected leader — ultimately, the Crimean Crisis (and America’s actions against Russia) led to the reengagement of the Cold War (the long and bitter animosity between America and Russia that began in the 1940s). This Second Cold War has had a dramatic impact upon the political situation in the U.S., with Russia meddling in our elections and an uneasy alliance with disgraced President Donald J. Trump.
Recall how I wrote above, “his shadow side connected to deep feelings of being a nobody, desiring of fame and achievement not earned, and becoming disrespectful and demanding of submission from others. Black Moon Lilith in Leo’s have a propensity toward rage and violence, particularly toward women. Without healing the shadow self, these folks can become selfish, abuse their power and waste their talents by becoming addicted to flattery bordering on delusions of grandeur.” These statements not only are true for Charles Manson but for Vladimir Putin. His quench for fame and power are rooted in a feeling (from childhood) of being a nobody.
Putin’s father was a cook for Vladimir Lenin, who had previously served in the Russian Army during World War II and was badly injured. His mother worked in a factory. Two older brothers both died in infancy. Vladimir was a small child (his height as an adult is just 5’7”) and to make himself feel bigger, he practiced martial arts and emulated the behavior of Soviet soldiers he learned from movies.
The roots of the 2014 Crimean Crisis date back to August 24, 1991 when Ukraine declared its’ independence from the Soviet Union. On that date, the Sun was in Virgo (Mutable Earth, Goddess of the Harvest) and the Moon was in Aquarius (Fixed Air, The Water Bearer). Virgo is a feminine sign, and Sun in Virgo indicates a meticulous and organized female energy, combined with the Aquarian Moon’s quirky humanitarian. Together, these energies encouraged Ukraine to reject their king (U.S.S.R.) in favor of being their own queen. They rejected Russia, which inaugurated Putin nine years later as its’ president.
During the build-up to the Crimean Crisis, Putin’s wife divorced him after he was unfaithful and impregnated another woman. Their divorce was final on April 1, 2014 but had been filed a couple months prior. This is all about rejection by women and the perceived demeaning of his masculine, macho image. He was named after the former president that employed his father after the War. He felt a kinship with his homeland, bordering on transference. Putin didn’t like to be made to feel small. He didn’t like to be made a fool. When Vladimir couldn’t get back one woman (his wife), he took another woman (Crimea) instead.
Does this not also sound like Manson? For Charlie, if he couldn’t get fame as a music and recording star, he’d happily accept it instead as being a savage sociopath and America’s most famous inmate. Anything other than feeling like a nobody.
